The AJAX MotionCam Outdoor (PhOD) motion detector takes Ajax photo verification outdoors, combining a robust PIR sensor with a K-band microwave sensor to accurately detect movement in gardens, driveways, patios or perimeters, minimizing false alarms caused by branches, animals or temperature changes.

Dual detection technology for maximum reliability

Two independent PIR sensors work together with a microwave sensor (24 GHz) to accurately distinguish between real movements and environmental disturbances, minimizing unnecessary activations so common in outdoor installations.

Photo on Demand: Check your exterior whenever you want

In addition to automatically photographing each alarm, the MotionCam Outdoor (PhOD) allows you to request a real-time photo from the Ajax app at any time, ideal for monitoring the entrance, checking for unexpected visitors, or checking the garden without triggering an alarm.

Photo verification in less than 9 seconds

Thanks to the high-speed Wings protocol, photographs arrive at the app in less than 9 seconds from the event, allowing a quick response to both the user and the alarm receiving center.

With IP55 certification and an operating range of -25°C to +60°C, this detector is ready to be installed outdoors while maintaining stable performance throughout the year.

System requirements:

This detector requires a Hub 2, Hub 2 Plus, or Hub Hybrid to send photos (the original Hub and Hub Plus models are not compatible with this feature). To extend the signal range, it is compatible with the ReX 2 repeater.
