The MCT-302 N is a fully supervised Wireless PowerCode magnetic contact for electronic security applications.
It incorporates a reed switch (which opens by removing a magnet near it) and a wired auxiliary input that is programmed as NC or EOL,
for use with additional safety sensors such as push buttons, detectors, magnetic contacts, etc.
The 4 microswitches incorporated in the printed circuit allow the installer to disable the reed switch in applications where it is
need only the auxiliary input. The auxiliary input and the reed switch behave as independent transmitters although they activate the same radio transmission module. Each entry has a unique 24-bit identification code randomly selected at the factory from 16 million possible combinations.
In alarm, a digital radio message will be transmitted including the PoweCode of the input that has been activated, followed by several
status messages and bookmarks. In this way the alarm and other data will reach the receiver.
Since the messages transmitted by the MCT-302 N may collide with transmissions coming from other PowerCode transmitters, a "smart" anti-collision transmission sequence is used. The MCT-302 N is protected by a tamper contact, which is activated when the cover is removed. When the contact is activated, a message is automatically sent from the reed switch input with the "tamper marker" ON. If the installer disables the reed switch, then the tamper condition will be automatically sent by the auxiliary input.
