Description:

Qubino 3-Phase Smart Meter is a professional, wireless smart home device, that measures energy consumption in a 3-phase electrical power network of up to 3x65A. Its special features are:

  • DIN rail installation in the electrical cabinet,

  • The current passes through the module – you do not need clamps, so it is the most accurate energy consumption meter on Z-Wave technology,

  • Measures 9 electrical values.

It is ideal to measure the 3-phase power consumption of the whole house or flat, a high consumption electrical device (e.g., heat pump), the power generated from the solar power plant, etc. It works on Z-Wave technology and supports auto-inclusion for a quick set-up.

It has the possibility to add external contactors IKA or BICOM that will also switch the device, connected to the 3-Phase Smart Meter, ON/OFF (IKA & BICOM are sold separately).

It supports the highest level of cyber security - S2 security, which is the most advanced security for smart home devices in the market today.

What functions does Smart Meter support?

  1. Measuring power consumption in 9 different values – V, A, W, kvar, PF, kWh import, kWh export, kVAh, kvarh

  2. Option to add external contactors IKA or BICOM that will allow you to:

  • switch the device, connected to the Smart Meter, ON/OFF,

  • set power consumption limit, when the device will turn OFF automatically,

  • set schedules to turn ON/OFF devices automatically.

(IKA & BICOM are sold separately)

How it works?

Qubino wireless smart home devices are developed on the world-known technology for smart homes – Z-Wave. Which means that the Qubino devices, connect to a smart home hub (gateway) that also supports Z-Wave technology. Through hub’s (gateway’s) App, we add Qubino devices to the smart home network and control them with the smartphone or set schedules that automatically trigger devices on/off.

How to install?

Qubino devices communicate through wireless protocol, so there’s no need to demolish walls or install additional wires in your electrical network. The installation is quick and simple.

Install the Qubino 3-Phase Smart Meter on the DIN rail in the electrical cabinet. Connect it according to the electrical diagram, pair it with a Z-Wave gateway and control your devices with a smartphone or set scenarios so they work automatically.

Qubino supports auto-inclusion, so after searching for new devices in your smart home App, the device should instantly appear in your App.

Extremely powerful three-phase power meter

Reduce energy consumption

The Qubino three-phase smart meter is used for energy measurements in three-phase electrical networks.
It reduces energy consumption, decreases utility bills and improves efficiency in residential, industrial and public service applications.

Three Phase Qubino Smart Meter 3 Phase Consumption Meter

How can the three-phase smart meter be used?

The three-phase Qubino Smart Meter can be used in many different scenes, which can help make your life more comfortable.
There are countless options to use the Qubino three-phase smart meter to remotely measure the power consumption
of your home or connected devices.

  • Track the energy consumption of the entire house and measure 9 different electrical values.
  • Track the energy consumption of a three-phase electrical device (for example, a three-phase heat pump) and measure up to 9 different electrical values.
  • Track the energy consumption of a three-phase electrical device (for example, an induction furnace) and measure up to 9 different electrical values.
  • Measure 3 different electrical values (V, A, W) in each phase, plus 5 electrical values in common (Kwh, Kvar, KVarh, kVAh, PF).
  • Remotely control and measure the energy consumption of 3 phases of an electrical device. The device (heat pump, for example) can be controlled with an external contactor.
  • Remotely control and measure the energy consumption of 3 phases of an electrical device. The device (induction furnace, for example) can be controlled with an external contactor.
  • Remotely control and measure the energy consumption of 3 phases of an electrical device (for example, accurate information on the energy consumption of the electric car). The device (for example: electric charger for electric car) can be controlled with an external contactor.
  • Remotely measure the energy consumption of the entire house and control a group of electrical devices (for example: lights) with an external contactor.
  • Track the energy consumption for each of the three electrical devices and control two groups of electrical devices (for example: three-phase heat pump and lights) with external contactors.
  • Measure remotely the energy consumption of the whole house and the control of the electrical devices of the groups (for example: heat pump and lights) with external contactors.

Main advantages

It is an extremely versatile and powerful Z-Wave device for measuring energy in a three-phase power network of up to 3 x 65A.

The only three-phase intelligent meter in the world that allows the connection of additional relay contactors and DIN rail support.

Some devices in your home consume too much energy

The three-phase Smart Meter can automatically turn off the devices / lights after they exceed the set power consumption. For example, the heating will automatically turn off after reaching the set power consumption value. This function is independent of other scenes and gateway commands (hub).

Control other devices in your Z-Wave network

Connect the three-phase smart meter with other devices in your network to remotely and automatically activate another Z-Wave device. And have other Z-Wave devices power your Qubino 3-Phase Smart Meter.

The simplest installation

There is no simpler installation than the DIN rail installation, and the Qubino three-phase smart meter is a device mounted on a DIN rail.

Setting Parameters

Parameter no. 7 Input 1 switch function selection

Available configuration parameters (data type is 1 DEC Byte):

default value 4

  • 0 - disabled
  • 1 - Tariff input
  • 2 - IR external relay control mono stable push button
  • 3 - IR external relay control - bi stable switch
  • 4 - External relay control mono stable push button
  • 5 - External relay control bi stable switch
Parameter no. 40 Reporting on power change

Set value means percentage, set value from 0 100 = 0% - 100%. Available configuration parameters (data type is 1 DEC Byte):

    • default value 10

    • 1 - 100 = 1% - 100% Reporting enabled. Power report is sent (pushed) only when current power in Watts in real time changes for more than set percentage comparing to previous current power in Watts, step is 1%.

NOTE: If power changed is less than 1 W, the report is not sent (pushed)

NOTE: when W is changed for more than percent value in this parameter -> the module is reporting also:

  • A (if the value has changed)
  • V (if the value has changed)
  • Power factor (if the value has changed)
  • kVar (Reactive power) (if the value has changed)

The module is measuring some disturbances even if the output is not load. To avoid unintended reporting: If measured active power (W) is below 5 W -> the value is not reported.

Parameter no. 42 Reporting on time interval

Available configuration parameters (data type is 2 Byte DEC):

  • default value 600 (10 minutes)
  • 0 - Reporting Disabled
  • 10 - 32535 = 10 seconds - 32535 seconds. Reporting enabled. Report is sent with the time interval set by entered value.

NOTE: The module is reporting following values (if there was a change):

  • kWh (import / export)
  • kVarh
  • kVAh
  • W, A, V, PF, kVar

NOTE: If measured active power (W) is below 5W -> the value is reported on time interval.

Parameter no. 106 External IR relay (BICOM) power threshold settings maximum power of all phases together

This parameter defines a threshold when External IR relay is being turned off. (If Parameter No. 100 is set to the value 1 or 2)
Available configuration parameters (data type is 2 Byte DEC)

  • Default value 0

  • 10-20000 10W-20000W
NOTE: Meter is capable of measuring max 80A

Parameter no. 112 Overload on External Relay Delay before power on

External relay is turned off due to detected overload on L1, L2 or L3 (Parameter no.110). It remains off for a time, defined in this parameter. After that time, the output is turned on for a short time to check, if overload is still presented.

Available configuration parameters (data type is 2 Byte DEC):

  • Default value 300 (5 minutes)
  • 0 relay configuration if both relays are connected to the same Phase (see the table in Parameter No. 113)
