Z-UNO is an Arduino board with Z-Wave interface. What do I need to use Z-One? A Z-Wave controller and a computer with USB port where we can program Z-One as we could with any Arduino board. In Z-One we can create Z-Wave devices (up to 30 in a single plate) and register them in our Z-Wave controller to interact with them in the usual way. At its 26 GPIO ports we can connect devices such as sensors, LEDs, relays, etc.
Z-UNO offers you the opportunity to create your own Z-Wave devices without the in-depth knowledge of the Z-Wave protocol. Z-UNO combines the power of the Z-Wave wireless automation protocol with the simplicity of Arduino boards.
The programming is done by writing a "sketch" in simplified C language. Many and varied examples in tutorials will help you to finish your own projects successfully.
The Z-UNO board is certified as Z-Wave Plus which makes it compatible with most gateways or Z-Wave home automation controllers such as RaZberry, Home Center 2 / Lite, Vera Edge and Zipato Zipabox. (Jul 2016).
